Your prescription request will be reviewed by a doctor within 1 working day. Prescribing regulations and guidance cite that some medications may only be re-prescribed after personal review within a stated period, if this is the case you will be asked to attend for review before the full prescription is issued.
Certain special requirements apply to prescribing controlled drugs. Controlled drugs cannot be issued by a pharmacy without the hard copy of the prescription being in their possession.
This service is free to those patients who partake in our subscription service. To all other patients this service is subject to a prescription fee. Controlled drug prescriptions are subject to an additional charge. Please see our fees section for details. Before issuing the prescription we will ask for your card details. However no money will be taken until the prescription is issued and sent by post to the patient, faxed to a pharmacy or the prescription or medication collected from the practice.
