Estelle is a BACP accredited and UKCP registered Integrative Counsellor – Psychotherapist with 11 years experience spanning the private medical sector, NHS primary care and a practice in Esher.
As an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist her range of approaches include: mindfulness, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and CBT including DBT; body psychotherapy (neuroscience); humanistic-relational approaches including attachment and existential theory, compassion focused therapy, psychodynamic and psychoanalytic analysis. She is particularly focused on body-mind work and somatic experiencing which is of particular value for clients experiencing PTSD and trauma.
Estelle works collaboratively with clients and puts the working relationship at the heart of the counselling process. She aims to enable clients to move through a cycle of change in a safe, empathic environment, enabling them to understand more about themselves, and move towards healing and resilience through greater self awareness towards self-efficacy.
She works with the range of human experiences: anxiety, separation and loss, relationship issues, abortion, bereavement, depression, anger, and vulnerability, eating disorder, personality disorder.
Estelle has a specialist interest in working with eating disorders and trained with the National Council for Eating Disorders.
She is also a qualified Bereavement Counsellor and is certified by the national bereavement service CRUSE. She worked on its national telephone helpline and was a senior bereavement counsellor at Kingston Bereavement Services, working with serious and complex bereavement and loss, from child loss, still-birth, terminal illness, sudden unexpected loss from suicide, accidental death and murder.
