Aymen Khumri graduated in 1996 from University College London Medical School. She completed her General Practice Training in London and gained Membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2003. She holds Diplomas in Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Family Planning and Sexual Health.
Currently she divides her time working between London and Kochi, India, where she established The International Medical Practice, a family, paediatric and travel clinic (www.imphealthcare.com), with complementary yoga therapy as part of a holistic approach to care. She has a special interest in researching the medical benefits of yoga and is a registered yoga instructor and therapist.
She also works as a Consultant Community Paediatrician and heads the child health and development faculty for the Choice Foundation, supporting children with disabilities and special educational needs in mainstream and specialist community schools.
When she is not busy working or travelling, Aymen enjoys sailing the backwaters of Kerala and baking cakes and cookies with her sons.
